Transfer of Registrant - Employee to Company

To transfer a domain name registration from an individual employee into the company's name, please have the CEO (or another officer of the Company with signatory authority) submit a letter requesting the transfer on company letterhead. The letter must be both signed and notarized as well as include the information listed below:

  1. The name and email address of the employee who originally registered the domain name.
  2. A statement that the employee registered the domain name on behalf of the company.
  3. A statement that the employee neither continues to be employed by the company nor are they available to assist in processing the transfer.
  4. The full name and title of the individual requesting the Transfer of Registrant.
  5. The following statement must be included in the body of the letter: "I hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Register.com, Inc., its directors, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any claim, demand or obligation asserted by any party arising from:
    a. Any breach of the representations I made in this letter or
    b. The transfer of any names affected by Register.com, which will be undertaken in reliance on such representations."
  6. If the address on file in our records for the Registrant is different than what you have submitted, please include a statement of explanation (e.g. Company has moved to a new location; Company merged/was acquired; Company's branch office closed) that contains both the old and new addresses.

In addition, the Company Representative must also complete the attached Transfer of Registrant form.
